We are happy to announce Michał Leszuk and Gina Merz as the new co-directors of Kunstverein Kevin Space. The two curators will build on previous directions, such as the focus on facilitating new artistic productions, while integrating their interests in text-based mediation as well as engaging with “the curatorial” as a dynamic and critical process. Kevin will continue to test the possibilities of the space—both as a physical site and as a conceptual framework. Their program will start in September with a solo show by Nancy Lupo.
Michał Leszuk is a curator currently based in Vienna. Alongside his master's studies in Contemporary Art Theory at Goldsmiths, University of London, he worked at Camden Art Centre and White Cube Gallery in London. Since 2022, he has been part of Kevin Space. Independently, he has curated several projects as a freelance curator. Beginning in autumn 2025, he will be a visiting lecturer in Expanded Museum Studies at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. His texts have been published in magazines such as e-flux, TQW Magazine, NOIA Magazine, Deleuzine, and HERO Magazine, among others.
Gina Merz is a curator, occasionally writer and artist, currently based in Vienna. In autumn 2025 she will be taking over Kevin Space together with Michał Leszuk. She is currently working on the exhibition and event format Burn The Diaries, Read Them Out Loud taking place at Kunsthalle Wien Karlsplatz from June to October 2025.
